Common Questions

How do I turn it on?

With the foot switch, so you do not have to reach up under the shades.

Can I change the light color or dim it?

The 3 color temperature option switches between warm, neutral and cool white. Neither option changes the brightness. If you only want warm light, pick Warm White (3000K).

Are the bulbs included?

Yes. It comes with G9 bulbs, 21W in total, and it plugs into a standard US outlet.

Are the globes glass?

No. The globes are white PE plastic, so they will not shatter if the lamp gets knocked.

How much floor space does it need?

The base is 11 x 11 inches and it stands 63 inches tall, so it fits in a corner or beside a sofa or chair.

What if it's not right?

You have 30 days. If it's not right, send it back and we'll refund you. If anything arrives damaged, we replace it.

How bright will this be, and how do I compare it to others?

Brightness is measured in lumens, not watts, so a low wattage LED can easily outshine an older bulb that draws far more power. The figures for this fixture are listed in the Details & Specifications dropdown above.

As a guide, accent and bedside lights are designed to shape a mood rather than flood a room, while ceiling, wall and post lights run brighter because they cover a wider area.

Do I need an electrician to install this?

It depends on how the fixture is powered. Solar, rechargeable and plug in fixtures need no wiring, and most people fit them themselves with basic tools.

Hardwired fixtures connect to your mains supply, and we recommend a qualified electrician for those. The Power Supply row in Details & Specifications tells you which one you are looking at.

What will the light actually look like?

That comes down to color temperature, listed per product in Details & Specifications. Warm white around 3000K is a soft, slightly yellow light that suits homes and gardens.

Higher numbers look cooler and more blue white. That reads as brighter, but it is far less inviting in a living space.
