Description

Bauhaus plug in pendant light with a mid century glass shade. No hardwiring, 6 shade colors and 6 cap colors. Kitchen counter, dining table or bedside.

A short wide drum of colored glass with a small dome cap on top, hanging from a thin cord. The glass glows when it is on, so the color reads day and night.

It plugs into an outlet, so it works over a kitchen counter, a dining table or a nightstand without an electrician. Pick the shade color and the cap color separately.

Common Questions

Is it hardwired?

No. It plugs into an outlet. Hang it from a hook and run the cord to the wall.

What are shade color and base color?

Shade is the glass drum. Base is the small cap on top. Pick each one.

Is the price for one?

Yes. Ordering 2 or more applies a discount automatically at checkout.

How bright will this be, and how do I compare it to others?

Brightness is measured in lumens, not watts, so a low wattage LED can easily outshine an older bulb that draws far more power. The figures for this fixture are listed in the Details & Specifications dropdown above.

As a guide, accent and bedside lights are designed to shape a mood rather than flood a room, while ceiling, wall and post lights run brighter because they cover a wider area.

Do I need an electrician to install this?

It depends on how the fixture is powered. Solar, rechargeable and plug in fixtures need no wiring, and most people fit them themselves with basic tools.

Hardwired fixtures connect to your mains supply, and we recommend a qualified electrician for those. The Power Supply row in Details & Specifications tells you which one you are looking at.

What will the light actually look like?

That comes down to color temperature, listed per product in Details & Specifications. Warm white around 3000K is a soft, slightly yellow light that suits homes and gardens.

Higher numbers look cooler and more blue white. That reads as brighter, but it is far less inviting in a living space.
