Wabi-sabi gets used loosely, but it means something specific here: the terracotta body is thrown to a jar silhouette and left with its raw texture showing, so the surface looks worn in rather than finished off. The moss-green glaze is muted enough that the lamp reads as a ceramic object first and a light source second.

The white fabric shade does the work optically. A 5W warm bulb through fabric spreads gradually across the shade instead of punching out of it, which is the difference between a lamp you can sit next to and one you squint at. Good for the end of the evening rather than for reading.
