Description

A bedside lamp with a cord means a cord across the nightstand and a switch you have to find in the dark. Many cordless lamps fix that and then die after an hour.

This mushroom lamp has a 4000mAh battery built in, good for 12 to 16 hours per charge. That is about 4 to 5 evenings at 3 hours a night. Tap the top to turn it on and hold to dim. The aluminum body and dome shade give an even glow with no bulb showing. Charge it with the USB cable in the box.

Keep it on a nightstand, a desk, a bookshelf or a dinner table. It stands 13.4 inches tall and 5.9 inches wide, in black, white or gold. Price is for one lamp.

Common Questions

How long does it last before I have to charge it?

12 to 16 hours per charge from the 4000mAh battery. At 3 hours a night that is about 4 to 5 evenings.

How do I charge it?

Plug in the USB cable that comes in the box.

Is it bright enough, or just a night light?

It uses a 3W LED and you can dim it. Use it as a bedside or ambient table lamp. For close reading, run it at full brightness.

Is it hard to turn on in the dark?

No. Tap the top to turn it on. Touch and hold to dim.

How big is it?

13.4 inches tall and 5.9 inches wide. It fits on most nightstands and bookshelves.

Does it feel cheap?

The body and shade are aluminum, not plastic. It comes in black, white or gold.

What if it arrives damaged?

What if I don't like it?

You have 30 days to return it for a refund. Return shipping for a change of mind is paid by you.

How bright will this be, and how do I compare it to others?

Brightness is measured in lumens, not watts, so a low wattage LED can easily outshine an older bulb that draws far more power. The figures for this fixture are listed in the Details & Specifications dropdown above.

As a guide, accent and bedside lights are designed to shape a mood rather than flood a room, while ceiling, wall and post lights run brighter because they cover a wider area.

Do I need an electrician to install this?

It depends on how the fixture is powered. Solar, rechargeable and plug in fixtures need no wiring, and most people fit them themselves with basic tools.

Hardwired fixtures connect to your mains supply, and we recommend a qualified electrician for those. The Power Supply row in Details & Specifications tells you which one you are looking at.

What will the light actually look like?

That comes down to color temperature, listed per product in Details & Specifications. Warm white around 3000K is a soft, slightly yellow light that suits homes and gardens.

Higher numbers look cooler and more blue white. That reads as brighter, but it is far less inviting in a living space.
