Common Questions

What does the pull cord do?

It switches the light between the sunrise mode, which is a cool pale morning light, and the sunset mode, which is a warm amber evening glow.

Does it need wiring?

No. It runs on an internal rechargeable battery and mounts on a bracket, so there is no wiring or outlet required.

Is it dimmable?

Yes. Touch the face to adjust brightness from a low night glow up to full output.

How does it charge?

By USB from any standard phone charger or power bank.

How fast is shipping?

Shipping is free within the US and orders ship in 1-2 business days.

What is your return policy?

Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery in original condition.

How bright will this be, and how do I compare it to others?

Brightness is measured in lumens, not watts, so a low wattage LED can easily outshine an older bulb that draws far more power. The figures for this fixture are listed in the Details & Specifications dropdown above.

As a guide, accent and bedside lights are designed to shape a mood rather than flood a room, while ceiling, wall and post lights run brighter because they cover a wider area.

Do I need an electrician to install this?

It depends on how the fixture is powered. Solar, rechargeable and plug in fixtures need no wiring, and most people fit them themselves with basic tools.

Hardwired fixtures connect to your mains supply, and we recommend a qualified electrician for those. The Power Supply row in Details & Specifications tells you which one you are looking at.

What will the light actually look like?

That comes down to color temperature, listed per product in Details & Specifications. Warm white around 3000K is a soft, slightly yellow light that suits homes and gardens.

Higher numbers look cooler and more blue white. That reads as brighter, but it is far less inviting in a living space.
