Common Questions

What is the difference between touch and remote?

The touch version is operated at the fixture itself. The remote version adds a handheld remote so you can switch modes and brightness without reaching the light.

Does it need wiring?

No. It runs on an internal rechargeable battery and charges by USB, so there is no wiring or outlet involved.

Can I change the light color?

Yes. It cycles between warm, neutral and cool white, so it suits both artwork and task areas.

How does it mount?

With the included adhesive pad on a clean wall, or straight onto any steel surface using the built-in magnet.

How fast is shipping?

Shipping is free within the US and orders ship in 1-2 business days.

What is your return policy?

Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery in original condition.

How bright will this be, and how do I compare it to others?

Brightness is measured in lumens, not watts, so a low wattage LED can easily outshine an older bulb that draws far more power. The figures for this fixture are listed in the Details & Specifications dropdown above.

As a guide, accent and bedside lights are designed to shape a mood rather than flood a room, while ceiling, wall and post lights run brighter because they cover a wider area.

Do I need an electrician to install this?

It depends on how the fixture is powered. Solar, rechargeable and plug in fixtures need no wiring, and most people fit them themselves with basic tools.

Hardwired fixtures connect to your mains supply, and we recommend a qualified electrician for those. The Power Supply row in Details & Specifications tells you which one you are looking at.

What will the light actually look like?

That comes down to color temperature, listed per product in Details & Specifications. Warm white around 3000K is a soft, slightly yellow light that suits homes and gardens.

Higher numbers look cooler and more blue white. That reads as brighter, but it is far less inviting in a living space.
