Common Questions

How long does one charge last?

Up to 24 hours at a low setting on the 5200mAh battery, less at full brightness. It recharges over USB-C.

Can I use it outdoors?

Yes on a covered patio or a table under an awning. The IP54 rating handles splashes and damp air, but it is not built to sit out in a storm.

How do I dim it?

Touch the top. Tap to switch on and off, hold to run the brightness up or down.

Is it bright enough to read by?

It is a 3W LED, so it is mood and table light rather than a reading lamp. For a dinner table or a bedside it is right; for reading you would want something brighter placed closer.

Why are there thirteen colors?

Because these get bought in sets for restaurant and patio tables, and the finish is usually matched to the room. Matte black and matte white are the two that sell most.

Is the price for one lamp?

Yes, the price is for one. Ordering 2 or more applies a discount automatically at checkout.

How bright will this be, and how do I compare it to others?

Brightness is measured in lumens, not watts, so a low wattage LED can easily outshine an older bulb that draws far more power. The figures for this fixture are listed in the Details & Specifications dropdown above.

As a guide, accent and bedside lights are designed to shape a mood rather than flood a room, while ceiling, wall and post lights run brighter because they cover a wider area.

Do I need an electrician to install this?

It depends on how the fixture is powered. Solar, rechargeable and plug in fixtures need no wiring, and most people fit them themselves with basic tools.

Hardwired fixtures connect to your mains supply, and we recommend a qualified electrician for those. The Power Supply row in Details & Specifications tells you which one you are looking at.

Will it survive rain, snow and heat?

Outdoor fixtures carry an IP rating, shown as Waterproof in Details & Specifications. IP65 means fully sealed against dust and protected against water jets from any direction, which covers ordinary rain and snow.

Materials matter just as much. Aluminum and stainless bodies with tempered glass or polycarbonate shades hold their finish outdoors far better than all plastic fittings.

What will the light actually look like?

That comes down to color temperature, listed per product in Details & Specifications. Warm white around 3000K is a soft, slightly yellow light that suits homes and gardens.

Higher numbers look cooler and more blue white. That reads as brighter, but it is far less inviting in a living space.

How many do I need for my space?

Even spacing matters more than sheer quantity. A pair either side of a door or gate is the usual starting point.

For a fence line, path or driveway, most runs look right at four to eight fixtures spaced evenly apart. Gaps that are too wide leave dark patches between pools of light, which reads worse than fewer fixtures spaced properly.
