Description

Fleece gets hot and sweaty halfway through the night. A thin cotton throw does nothing once the heat goes off. Most blankets are one or the other.

This muslin blanket is six layers of 100% cotton gauze stacked together. The layers hold in warmth like a duvet, and the open weave lets air through, so you stay warm without feeling clammy. It comes pre-washed, so it is soft from the first use and gets softer with every wash. Cotton gauze has a natural crinkle, and that texture is part of how it should look.

Use the throw on the couch or at the end of the bed, or go up to queen or king as your main blanket. Pick from 10 colors. Machine wash cold on gentle and tumble dry low. Skip bleach and fabric softener.

Common Questions

Is it thin? Will it keep me warm in winter?

It is six layers of cotton gauze, not one. The layers hold in warmth like a duvet. The open weave lets air through, so you stay comfortable instead of sweaty.

Is it really 100% cotton?

Yes. It is 100% cotton gauze with no synthetic fibers.

Will it shrink when I wash it?

It comes pre-washed. Wash it cold on a gentle cycle and tumble dry low to keep it close to its original size. Skip hot water and high heat.

Why does it look crinkled?

Cotton gauze has a natural crinkle. That texture is normal, and you don't need to iron it.

Will it feel stiff at first?

No. It is pre-washed, so it is soft from the first use. It gets softer every time you wash it.

Which size should I get?

Get the throw (50 x 60) for the couch. The large throw (60 x 80) fits a twin bed or a tall person on the couch. Queen (80 x 90) and king (90 x 110) work as a full bed blanket.

Is it a good gift?

Yes. With 10 colors and 4 sizes, you can match it to their couch or bed. The price is for one blanket.

What if the color or feel isn't right?

You have 30 days to return it for a refund. Return shipping on change-of-mind returns is paid by you. If it arrives damaged, we replace it.

How bright will this be, and how do I compare it to others?

Brightness is measured in lumens, not watts, so a low wattage LED can easily outshine an older bulb that draws far more power. The figures for this fixture are listed in the Details & Specifications dropdown above.

As a guide, accent and bedside lights are designed to shape a mood rather than flood a room, while ceiling, wall and post lights run brighter because they cover a wider area.

Do I need an electrician to install this?

It depends on how the fixture is powered. Solar, rechargeable and plug in fixtures need no wiring, and most people fit them themselves with basic tools.

Hardwired fixtures connect to your mains supply, and we recommend a qualified electrician for those. The Power Supply row in Details & Specifications tells you which one you are looking at.

What will the light actually look like?

That comes down to color temperature, listed per product in Details & Specifications. Warm white around 3000K is a soft, slightly yellow light that suits homes and gardens.

Higher numbers look cooler and more blue white. That reads as brighter, but it is far less inviting in a living space.
