Common Questions

What safety features does it have?

It has overheating protection and a 10-hour automatic shut-off. Dual PTC and NTC temperature control helps regulate warmth.

How do I wash it?

Detach the controller first, then machine wash the blanket on a gentle cycle.

How do I set the heat?

Use the easy-to-read LCD controller. It has 6 heat settings and 6 timer settings.

How long is the cord?

6.9 ft, so you have room to settle in on the sofa away from the outlet.

How big is it?

59.1 x 70.9 inches, enough to cover you on the sofa or across the bed.

What if it's not right?

You have 30 days. If it's not right, send it back and we'll refund you. If anything arrives damaged, we replace it.

How bright will this be, and how do I compare it to others?

Brightness is measured in lumens, not watts, so a low wattage LED can easily outshine an older bulb that draws far more power. The figures for this fixture are listed in the Details & Specifications dropdown above.

As a guide, accent and bedside lights are designed to shape a mood rather than flood a room, while ceiling, wall and post lights run brighter because they cover a wider area.

Do I need an electrician to install this?

It depends on how the fixture is powered. Solar, rechargeable and plug in fixtures need no wiring, and most people fit them themselves with basic tools.

Hardwired fixtures connect to your mains supply, and we recommend a qualified electrician for those. The Power Supply row in Details & Specifications tells you which one you are looking at.

What will the light actually look like?

That comes down to color temperature, listed per product in Details & Specifications. Warm white around 3000K is a soft, slightly yellow light that suits homes and gardens.

Higher numbers look cooler and more blue white. That reads as brighter, but it is far less inviting in a living space.
