Description

Builder flush mounts give a bedroom harsh, flat light and nothing to look at.

These bedroom ceiling light fixtures have rounded, ribbed glass shades in a 1920s art deco shape on an iron and metal frame. A built-in 3000K warm white LED gives a soft, incandescent-style glow: about 24W and 2,640 lumens for the small size, 38W and 4,180 lumens for the large. Dimmable with a TRIAC dimmer switch (not included). Hardwired, AC 110 to 240V.

Sizes: 12.6 in wide x 5.1 in high, or 15.7 in wide x 5.1 in high. Finish: chrome or gold. Glass: beige or white.

Common Questions

How is it installed?

It is hardwired and mounts flush to a standard ceiling junction box. An electrician can install it quickly if you have not wired a fixture before.

Do I need a bulb?

No. The LED is built in, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It gives a warm 3000K light.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, with a TRIAC dimmer switch (not included). Standard rotary dimmers are not compatible.

Which size should I choose?

The 12.6 in size (2,640 lumens) suits a bedroom or a table seating 4. The 15.7 in size (4,180 lumens) is better for larger bedrooms, living rooms or tables seating 6 to 8.

Chrome or gold, beige or white?

Chrome reads modern and crisp, gold feels warmer and more traditional. Beige glass gives a vintage glow, white glass a cleaner look.

What if it's not right?

You have 30 days. If it's not right, send it back and we'll refund you. If anything arrives damaged, we replace it.

How bright will this be, and how do I compare it to others?

Brightness is measured in lumens, not watts, so a low wattage LED can easily outshine an older bulb that draws far more power. The figures for this fixture are listed in the Details & Specifications dropdown above.

As a guide, accent and bedside lights are designed to shape a mood rather than flood a room, while ceiling, wall and post lights run brighter because they cover a wider area.

Do I need an electrician to install this?

It depends on how the fixture is powered. Solar, rechargeable and plug in fixtures need no wiring, and most people fit them themselves with basic tools.

Hardwired fixtures connect to your mains supply, and we recommend a qualified electrician for those. The Power Supply row in Details & Specifications tells you which one you are looking at.

What will the light actually look like?

That comes down to color temperature, listed per product in Details & Specifications. Warm white around 3000K is a soft, slightly yellow light that suits homes and gardens.

Higher numbers look cooler and more blue white. That reads as brighter, but it is far less inviting in a living space.
