Common Questions

Will it fit my fireplace?

The log set measures 26 x 8.9 x 14 in. Measure your fireplace opening and floor depth before ordering.

Does it need wiring?

No. Set it in the fireplace and plug it into a standard 120V outlet.

Which version should I choose?

Remote gives you the panel and remote. WiFi + Remote adds the phone app, Alexa, Google Assistant and a crackling sound speaker.

Can I run the flame effect without heat?

Yes. Choose flame only for the look, or add heat when it is cold.

What safety features does it have?

It has a child lock and overheat protection, and it is CSA certified.

What if it's not right?

You have 30 days. If it's not right, send it back and we'll refund you. If anything arrives damaged, we replace it.

How bright will this be, and how do I compare it to others?

Brightness is measured in lumens, not watts, so a low wattage LED can easily outshine an older bulb that draws far more power. The figures for this fixture are listed in the Details & Specifications dropdown above.

As a guide, accent and bedside lights are designed to shape a mood rather than flood a room, while ceiling, wall and post lights run brighter because they cover a wider area.

Do I need an electrician to install this?

It depends on how the fixture is powered. Solar, rechargeable and plug in fixtures need no wiring, and most people fit them themselves with basic tools.

Hardwired fixtures connect to your mains supply, and we recommend a qualified electrician for those. The Power Supply row in Details & Specifications tells you which one you are looking at.

What will the light actually look like?

That comes down to color temperature, listed per product in Details & Specifications. Warm white around 3000K is a soft, slightly yellow light that suits homes and gardens.

Higher numbers look cooler and more blue white. That reads as brighter, but it is far less inviting in a living space.
