Description

A small heating pad covers one shoulder or one knee. The rest of you stays cold, and you keep moving the pad around to reach the spot that matters.

This heating pad is 27 by 35 inches. It is big enough to lie back on or to drape across your lap and legs. It runs on low-voltage electric heat with 3 settings. Start on the lowest setting and turn it up until it feels right. A built-in timer turns it off on its own, so it won't keep running if you fall asleep.

Lay it on the couch cushion, across the foot of the bed, or on your office chair on a cold morning. Keep it dry and wipe the surface with a damp cloth when it needs cleaning. The pad, power cord and user manual come in the box.

Common Questions

Will it actually get warm enough?

It has 3 heat settings. Start on the lowest one and step up until it feels right. The 27 x 35 inch surface spreads the warmth over your back or your lap and legs instead of one small spot.

Will it shut off on me before I'm done?

A built-in timer turns it off on its own, so it won't keep running if you fall asleep. If you want more warmth after it switches off, turn it back on.

What happens if I fall asleep with it on?

The timer switches it off by itself. You don't need to remember to turn it off before you nod off.

How big is it?

27 by 35 inches, about 68 by 89 cm. That is big enough to lie back on or to cover your lap and legs on the couch.

Can I put it in the washing machine?

No. It is not machine washable. Keep it dry and wipe the surface gently with a damp cloth.

What comes in the box?

The heating pad, the power cord and a user manual. It plugs into a standard wall outlet.

Is it a good gift?

Yes, for anyone who is always cold on the couch or in bed during winter. The price is for one pad.

What if it doesn't work out for me?

You have 30 days to return it for a refund. Return shipping on change-of-mind returns is paid by you. If it arrives damaged, we replace it.

How bright will this be, and how do I compare it to others?

Brightness is measured in lumens, not watts, so a low wattage LED can easily outshine an older bulb that draws far more power. The figures for this fixture are listed in the Details & Specifications dropdown above.

As a guide, accent and bedside lights are designed to shape a mood rather than flood a room, while ceiling, wall and post lights run brighter because they cover a wider area.

Do I need an electrician to install this?

It depends on how the fixture is powered. Solar, rechargeable and plug in fixtures need no wiring, and most people fit them themselves with basic tools.

Hardwired fixtures connect to your mains supply, and we recommend a qualified electrician for those. The Power Supply row in Details & Specifications tells you which one you are looking at.

What will the light actually look like?

That comes down to color temperature, listed per product in Details & Specifications. Warm white around 3000K is a soft, slightly yellow light that suits homes and gardens.

Higher numbers look cooler and more blue white. That reads as brighter, but it is far less inviting in a living space.
