Common Questions

How do I turn it on?

Tap the top. One tap turns it on, more taps step through the three brightness levels, and it remembers the last level.

How long does it run?

Up to 8 hours per charge. Charging takes 2 to 3 hours over USB-C.

Is it real wood?

Yes. Solid pine. Each one has its own grain, so no two glow exactly the same.

Which shape is which size?

Cylinder comes in four sizes, square in three and rectangle in one. Sizes are listed in inches on the option buttons.

Is the price for one?

Yes. Ordering 2 or more applies a discount automatically at checkout.

How bright will this be, and how do I compare it to others?

Brightness is measured in lumens, not watts, so a low wattage LED can easily outshine an older bulb that draws far more power. The figures for this fixture are listed in the Details & Specifications dropdown above.

As a guide, accent and bedside lights are designed to shape a mood rather than flood a room, while ceiling, wall and post lights run brighter because they cover a wider area.

Do I need an electrician to install this?

It depends on how the fixture is powered. Solar, rechargeable and plug in fixtures need no wiring, and most people fit them themselves with basic tools.

Hardwired fixtures connect to your mains supply, and we recommend a qualified electrician for those. The Power Supply row in Details & Specifications tells you which one you are looking at.

What will the light actually look like?

That comes down to color temperature, listed per product in Details & Specifications. Warm white around 3000K is a soft, slightly yellow light that suits homes and gardens.

Higher numbers look cooler and more blue white. That reads as brighter, but it is far less inviting in a living space.
