Description

A clear glass globe over the kitchen island shows the bulb and puts glare at eye level. This globe pendant light has a hand blown smoked glass sphere. The tinted glass softens the LED inside, so the whole sphere glows.

The LED is built in and warm white. Pick the dimmable option if you want to use it with a Triac dimmer. Three rods come in the box, so the drop adjusts up to 47 inches.

Pick black with smoke grey glass or gold with amber glass, in 10 or 15 inches across. The 10 inch suits a two or three seat table or a row over an island. The 15 inch suits a four seat table on its own. It is hardwired and for indoor use. If it arrives damaged, we replace it.

Common Questions

Which size do I need for my table or island?

The 10 inch suits a two or three seat table, or a row over a kitchen island. The 15 inch suits a four seat table on its own.

Is it hard to install?

It is hardwired to a standard ceiling junction box and is for indoor use. If you have not wired a light fixture before, we recommend hiring an electrician.

Will the smoked glass make it too dim?

The tint softens the 3000K warm white LED and cuts glare. It works best as warm light over an island or table, alongside your main ceiling lights. Choose the Dimmable Warm Light option if you want to dim it with a Triac dimmer.

How low will it hang?

Three rods come in the box, so you can set the drop up to 47 inches. Over a table or island, most people hang the bottom of the shade about 30 to 36 inches above the surface.

Is the glass real, or will it look cheap?

The sphere is hand blown glass on a metal fitting. If it does not look right in your room, you can return it within 30 days.

What if the glass arrives broken?

If your pendant arrives damaged, contact us and we will replace it.

Does the amber or grey look like the photos?

Tinted glass looks darker when the light is off and glows warmer when it is on. Screens also show color differently. If the color is not what you expected, you can return it within 30 days.

Will I get my money back if it does not work in my space?

Yes. You can return it within 30 days for a refund. For change-of-mind returns, you pay the return shipping.

How bright will this be, and how do I compare it to others?

Brightness is measured in lumens, not watts, so a low wattage LED can easily outshine an older bulb that draws far more power. The figures for this fixture are listed in the Details & Specifications dropdown above.

As a guide, accent and bedside lights are designed to shape a mood rather than flood a room, while ceiling, wall and post lights run brighter because they cover a wider area.

Do I need an electrician to install this?

It depends on how the fixture is powered. Solar, rechargeable and plug in fixtures need no wiring, and most people fit them themselves with basic tools.

Hardwired fixtures connect to your mains supply, and we recommend a qualified electrician for those. The Power Supply row in Details & Specifications tells you which one you are looking at.

What will the light actually look like?

That comes down to color temperature, listed per product in Details & Specifications. Warm white around 3000K is a soft, slightly yellow light that suits homes and gardens.

Higher numbers look cooler and more blue white. That reads as brighter, but it is far less inviting in a living space.
