Description

Use it with the cord and plug or hardwire it. It is dimmable with a dimmable bulb and takes a standard E26 bulb up to 60W. Made for dry indoor locations.

Common Questions

Can I plug it in instead of hardwiring?

Yes. Use the cord and plug in a normal outlet, or have it hardwired for a cleaner look with no cord on the wall.

What bulb does it take?

A standard E26 bulb, up to 60W. An LED bulb in warm white is a good match for reading.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, with a dimmable E26 bulb and a compatible dimmer.

How far does the arm reach?

The arm extends from 6.1 to 12 inches from the wall. Swing it over your pillow or chair to read, then push it back when you are done.

Which finish should I pick?

Warm brass and bronze are the warmer tones and suit wood and cream rooms. Polished nickel and satin nickel are silver tones that suit grey and white rooms. Polished is shiny, satin is soft.

What if it's not right?

You have 30 days. If it's not right, send it back and we'll refund you. If anything arrives damaged, we replace it.

How bright will this be, and how do I compare it to others?

Brightness is measured in lumens, not watts, so a low wattage LED can easily outshine an older bulb that draws far more power. The figures for this fixture are listed in the Details & Specifications dropdown above.

As a guide, accent and bedside lights are designed to shape a mood rather than flood a room, while ceiling, wall and post lights run brighter because they cover a wider area.

Do I need an electrician to install this?

It depends on how the fixture is powered. Solar, rechargeable and plug in fixtures need no wiring, and most people fit them themselves with basic tools.

Hardwired fixtures connect to your mains supply, and we recommend a qualified electrician for those. The Power Supply row in Details & Specifications tells you which one you are looking at.

What will the light actually look like?

That comes down to color temperature, listed per product in Details & Specifications. Warm white around 3000K is a soft, slightly yellow light that suits homes and gardens.

Higher numbers look cooler and more blue white. That reads as brighter, but it is far less inviting in a living space.
