Common Questions

Does it need hardwiring?

No. This version plugs in and runs on 111 to 240V. Hang it on the wall and run the cord down to an outlet.

Which size should I get?

9.45 to 11.81 in suits a nightstand wall or kids room. 19.69 to 23.62 in works as a feature piece. 31.5 to 39.37 in is for a large wall.

Can I dim it?

Pick the Stepless dimming version to adjust brightness and color from warm 3000K to cool 6000K. The other versions are fixed warm, neutral or cool white.

How heavy is it to hang?

It is 1.57 in thick. It weighs 5.51 lb at 9.45 in and goes up to 14.33 lb at 39.37 in, so fix the larger sizes into a stud or use heavy duty wall anchors.

Do I need to buy a bulb?

No. The LED is built in behind the acrylic face and rated for 50,000 hours.

What if it's not right?

You have 30 days. If it's not right, send it back and we'll refund you. If anything arrives damaged, we replace it.

How bright will this be, and how do I compare it to others?

Brightness is measured in lumens, not watts, so a low wattage LED can easily outshine an older bulb that draws far more power. The figures for this fixture are listed in the Details & Specifications dropdown above.

As a guide, accent and bedside lights are designed to shape a mood rather than flood a room, while ceiling, wall and post lights run brighter because they cover a wider area.

Do I need an electrician to install this?

It depends on how the fixture is powered. Solar, rechargeable and plug in fixtures need no wiring, and most people fit them themselves with basic tools.

Hardwired fixtures connect to your mains supply, and we recommend a qualified electrician for those. The Power Supply row in Details & Specifications tells you which one you are looking at.

What will the light actually look like?

That comes down to color temperature, listed per product in Details & Specifications. Warm white around 3000K is a soft, slightly yellow light that suits homes and gardens.

Higher numbers look cooler and more blue white. That reads as brighter, but it is far less inviting in a living space.
