Description

A plain wall in a bedroom or hallway can look empty, and a ceiling light alone leaves it flat.

Common Questions

Do I need an electrician?

It is hardwired and runs from your wall switch. If you have not wired a light before, have an electrician put it in.

Do I need to buy a bulb?

No. The LED is built in, so there is no bulb to buy or change.

What color light does it give?

You can choose warm 3000K, neutral 4500K or cool 6000K. Warm suits a bedroom in the evening. Cool is crisper for a hallway or balcony.

Is it dimmable?

No. You can change the color of the light but not the brightness. At 1540 lumens it is bright enough to light a hallway or bedroom wall.

How much space does it take on the wall?

It is 4.7 in wide, 7.9 in tall and 13 in deep. The light shines both up and down the wall.

What if it's not right?

You have 30 days. If it's not right, send it back and we'll refund you. If anything arrives damaged, we replace it.

How bright will this be, and how do I compare it to others?

Brightness is measured in lumens, not watts, so a low wattage LED can easily outshine an older bulb that draws far more power. The figures for this fixture are listed in the Details & Specifications dropdown above.

As a guide, accent and bedside lights are designed to shape a mood rather than flood a room, while ceiling, wall and post lights run brighter because they cover a wider area.

Do I need an electrician to install this?

It depends on how the fixture is powered. Solar, rechargeable and plug in fixtures need no wiring, and most people fit them themselves with basic tools.

Hardwired fixtures connect to your mains supply, and we recommend a qualified electrician for those. The Power Supply row in Details & Specifications tells you which one you are looking at.

What will the light actually look like?

That comes down to color temperature, listed per product in Details & Specifications. Warm white around 3000K is a soft, slightly yellow light that suits homes and gardens.

Higher numbers look cooler and more blue white. That reads as brighter, but it is far less inviting in a living space.
