Description

A long light over a bed, a mirror or a hallway wall usually means running wiring inside the wall.

This battery wall light is a slim black bar that washes soft light along the wall. It mounts with screws or adhesive and holds the bar on a magnetic mount, so you lift it off to charge by USB and set it back. Dim it by remote or touch, set the timer to switch it off, and pick warm, neutral or cool light.

Two styles and four lengths, 23.6, 31.5, 39.4 or 47.2 inches, all in black. Pick a length a little shorter than the bed, mirror or frame you are lighting. For indoor use.

Common Questions

Do I need an electrician or an outlet?

No. It runs on a built-in rechargeable battery and mounts with screws or adhesive. Nothing gets wired and no cord hangs down the wall.

How long does the battery last?

Up to 4 hours on a full charge. Set the timer and it switches itself off, so a charge lasts more evenings. Charge with the included USB cable from a wall adapter, laptop or power bank.

How do I charge it once it is on the wall?

The bar sits on a magnetic mount. Lift it off, charge it, and set it back. The mount stays on the wall, so it stays level.

Which length should I get?

Measure what you are lighting, such as a headboard, mirror or frame, and pick the length just under that width.

Will it light a picture frame?

Yes, it works well over artwork and mirrors with standard frames. Very deep or thick frames can block some of the light at the top.

What if it's not right?

You have 30 days. If it's not right, send it back and we'll refund you. If anything arrives damaged, we replace it.

How bright will this be, and how do I compare it to others?

Brightness is measured in lumens, not watts, so a low wattage LED can easily outshine an older bulb that draws far more power. The figures for this fixture are listed in the Details & Specifications dropdown above.

As a guide, accent and bedside lights are designed to shape a mood rather than flood a room, while ceiling, wall and post lights run brighter because they cover a wider area.

Do I need an electrician to install this?

It depends on how the fixture is powered. Solar, rechargeable and plug in fixtures need no wiring, and most people fit them themselves with basic tools.

Hardwired fixtures connect to your mains supply, and we recommend a qualified electrician for those. The Power Supply row in Details & Specifications tells you which one you are looking at.

What will the light actually look like?

That comes down to color temperature, listed per product in Details & Specifications. Warm white around 3000K is a soft, slightly yellow light that suits homes and gardens.

Higher numbers look cooler and more blue white. That reads as brighter, but it is far less inviting in a living space.
