Description

A table lamp takes up nightstand space and lights the whole room, not the page.

This swing arm lamp mounts on the wall and folds out to put the light where you need it, then folds back flat against the wall. It has an iron body, takes an E27 LED bulb in warm white (3000K) and plugs into a US outlet, 110V, with the cord running on the wall surface.

Two finishes: black or gold. About 15.4 inches wide with a reach of about 27.6 inches.

Common Questions

Does it need hardwiring?

No. This version plugs into a regular 110V outlet, with the cord running down the wall surface.

How far does it reach?

About 27.6 in out from the wall with the arm extended. It folds back toward the wall when you are done reading.

What bulb does it take?

An E27 LED bulb, warm white 3000K. It is a standard screw base, so the bulb is easy to replace.

Will the light glare in my eyes?

The shade is translucent glass, which softens the light before it reaches your eyes. Aim the arm at the page and the light stays comfortable for reading.

How high should I mount it beside a bed?

Most people mount a bedside reading lamp so the shade sits about 20 to 30 inches above the top of the mattress. At 2.2 lb it is light, but use wall anchors if you are not screwing into a stud.

What if it's not right?

You have 30 days. If it's not right, send it back and we'll refund you. If anything arrives damaged, we replace it.

How bright will this be, and how do I compare it to others?

Brightness is measured in lumens, not watts, so a low wattage LED can easily outshine an older bulb that draws far more power. The figures for this fixture are listed in the Details & Specifications dropdown above.

As a guide, accent and bedside lights are designed to shape a mood rather than flood a room, while ceiling, wall and post lights run brighter because they cover a wider area.

Do I need an electrician to install this?

It depends on how the fixture is powered. Solar, rechargeable and plug in fixtures need no wiring, and most people fit them themselves with basic tools.

Hardwired fixtures connect to your mains supply, and we recommend a qualified electrician for those. The Power Supply row in Details & Specifications tells you which one you are looking at.

What will the light actually look like?

That comes down to color temperature, listed per product in Details & Specifications. Warm white around 3000K is a soft, slightly yellow light that suits homes and gardens.

Higher numbers look cooler and more blue white. That reads as brighter, but it is far less inviting in a living space.
