Common Questions

How does it attach to the wall?

A round wall plate goes up with two screws or the included 3M VHB adhesive strip. The light snaps onto the plate with magnets. If you use the adhesive, wait 2 hours before attaching the light.

How long does the battery last?

About 4 hours at full brightness and 12 hours or more at a low setting. A full charge takes about 2.5 hours by USB-C.

Can I take it off and carry it?

Yes. A gentle pull lifts it off the magnet. Carry it to a closet, down the hall or to bed, then snap it back on the wall.

Is it bright enough to read by?

No. At about 80 lumens it is a night light and accent light, good for hallways, closets and finding your way at night. For reading, use a lamp.

Will the adhesive hold?

On clean, smooth surfaces like painted drywall, painted wood or tile, the strip holds over 1 lb. For a spot you rely on every day, use the screws.

What if it's not right?

You have 30 days. If it's not right, send it back and we'll refund you. If anything arrives damaged, we replace it.

How bright will this be, and how do I compare it to others?

Brightness is measured in lumens, not watts, so a low wattage LED can easily outshine an older bulb that draws far more power. The figures for this fixture are listed in the Details & Specifications dropdown above.

As a guide, accent and bedside lights are designed to shape a mood rather than flood a room, while ceiling, wall and post lights run brighter because they cover a wider area.

Do I need an electrician to install this?

It depends on how the fixture is powered. Solar, rechargeable and plug in fixtures need no wiring, and most people fit them themselves with basic tools.

Hardwired fixtures connect to your mains supply, and we recommend a qualified electrician for those. The Power Supply row in Details & Specifications tells you which one you are looking at.

What will the light actually look like?

That comes down to color temperature, listed per product in Details & Specifications. Warm white around 3000K is a soft, slightly yellow light that suits homes and gardens.

Higher numbers look cooler and more blue white. That reads as brighter, but it is far less inviting in a living space.
