Common Questions

Do I need an electrician?

Yes. It is hardwired and connects to a wall junction box. We recommend a licensed electrician for the install.

Does it work with US wiring?

Yes. It is made for 110-120V, the standard in US homes.

What bulbs does it take?

Two E14 base bulbs, one in each glass shade. LED bulbs are the best choice.

Which glass color should I pick?

Clear shows the bulb and gives the most light. White gives a softer, even glow. Gray gives a darker, more muted look.

Is it big enough for a hallway or bedroom?

It is 5.5 inches across and 13.8 inches tall, slim enough for a hallway and tall enough to light a bedroom wall.

What if it's not right?

You have 30 days. If it's not right, send it back and we'll refund you. If anything arrives damaged, we replace it.

How bright will this be, and how do I compare it to others?

Brightness is measured in lumens, not watts, so a low wattage LED can easily outshine an older bulb that draws far more power. The figures for this fixture are listed in the Details & Specifications dropdown above.

As a guide, accent and bedside lights are designed to shape a mood rather than flood a room, while ceiling, wall and post lights run brighter because they cover a wider area.

Do I need an electrician to install this?

It depends on how the fixture is powered. Solar, rechargeable and plug in fixtures need no wiring, and most people fit them themselves with basic tools.

Hardwired fixtures connect to your mains supply, and we recommend a qualified electrician for those. The Power Supply row in Details & Specifications tells you which one you are looking at.

What will the light actually look like?

That comes down to color temperature, listed per product in Details & Specifications. Warm white around 3000K is a soft, slightly yellow light that suits homes and gardens.

Higher numbers look cooler and more blue white. That reads as brighter, but it is far less inviting in a living space.
