Common Questions

Do I need an electrician or an outlet?

No. It mounts with screws or adhesive and runs on a built-in battery that charges by USB. No cord runs down the wall.

How long does the battery last?

Up to 4 hours on a full charge. Use the auto-off timer on the remote so it does not run overnight.

Which size should I get?

The 15.7 inch suits small to medium artwork and mirrors. The 23.6 inch suits larger artwork and wide mirrors. Every finish comes in both sizes.

Will it work on a deep frame?

It is made for standard frames. A very deep or thick frame can cast a shadow at the top and limit how far the light reaches, so measure the frame depth first.

What does the remote do?

It turns the light on and off, dims it from full to low, moves the color from warm to cool, and sets the auto-off timer from across the room.

What if it's not right?

You have 30 days. If it's not right, send it back and we'll refund you. If anything arrives damaged, we replace it.

How bright will this be, and how do I compare it to others?

Brightness is measured in lumens, not watts, so a low wattage LED can easily outshine an older bulb that draws far more power. The figures for this fixture are listed in the Details & Specifications dropdown above.

As a guide, accent and bedside lights are designed to shape a mood rather than flood a room, while ceiling, wall and post lights run brighter because they cover a wider area.

Do I need an electrician to install this?

It depends on how the fixture is powered. Solar, rechargeable and plug in fixtures need no wiring, and most people fit them themselves with basic tools.

Hardwired fixtures connect to your mains supply, and we recommend a qualified electrician for those. The Power Supply row in Details & Specifications tells you which one you are looking at.

What will the light actually look like?

That comes down to color temperature, listed per product in Details & Specifications. Warm white around 3000K is a soft, slightly yellow light that suits homes and gardens.

Higher numbers look cooler and more blue white. That reads as brighter, but it is far less inviting in a living space.
